1. Organisation

The 19^th. European Veteran Rally, Galicia, will be organised, just like the 18 previous editions, by European Public Relations (EPR), an independent publicity agency located in Central Eindhoven, which has been working in the automotive sector since 1962. EPR also organises the Routes Classiques/Ardennes and the Routes for China events. So EPR has significant and valuable know-how in the disciplines Organisation, People handling skills, Geography, History, Automotive engineering and Etiquette. The rally organisation has been operating with the same team of people for more than 16 years. This Rally is being organised in collaboration with Paradores sa. in Madrid.

2. Variety
 
One of the attractions of the European Veteran Rally is that there is always such a varied field of starters. First of all there are generally 4 to 5 nationalities represented, which is always good for a bit of cultural variety, and secondly the event is always characterized by the great diversity of classic or vintage cars taking part. You will come across a number of illustrious pre-war Bentleys , a renowned Lagonda or Alvis., a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing , ‘fat’ Healeys , but also a standard ‘52 VW Beetle or a Topolino from ’47. The pervasive affection and love for classic and vintage cars, of whatever brand or type, creates the unbeatable Veteran Rally atmosphere, in which it seems to be so easy to make friends.

3. Hotels/Restaurants ****

Paradores, Pousada

As in the three previous editions, we have decided once again to spend several nights in the same hotel. The Rally organisation has worked in co-operation with Paradores SA of Madrid since 2002. This famous hotel chain (established 1928) has a large number of hotels. A characteristic of many Paradores is their fortress type locations: practically all of them are in converted castles, cloisters or old forts. The marvellous restoration of these historically important buildings is praiseworthy indeed as is the level of finish and furnishings in the rooms themselves. Just as the rally driver is thrilled with a precise route guidebook which takes him through the most beautiful parts of the country being visited; the battle weary team is equally delighted with the right hostelry and its welcoming cuisine. The Paradores are also renowned for the level of their cooking and you can rest assured that the gentlemen have a sound understanding of what fine wines are.
